From September 6th for five days, the festival of media art "Ars Electronica" will be held in Linz, Austria.

At the Ars Electronica Center, there will be a live performance titled "Project Humanity" by Masataka Muto, a representative of WITH ALS, who is active as a DJ despite suffering from the rare disease ALS. The performance will be remotely presented from Tokyo.

In this project by Dentsu Lab Tokyo, NTT, and WITH ALS, Masataka will wear electromyographic sensors on his body to obtain biometric data from his minor muscle movements, allowing him to control an avatar in the metaverse in real time.

BASSDRUM has had the privilege of assisting with technical direction and the development of the application that controls the avatar in the metaverse in real time.
