Everyday Drama Club: AI Illustration Maker

Web

OVERVIEW

"Everyday Drama Club: AI Illustration Maker" is a key part of Georgia coffee's campaign, inspired by its new message, "Everyday life is like a drama." It is one of the interactive, user-driven features within "Everyday Drama Club presented by GEORGIA," available on the campaign's website.

When users upload a photo they’ve taken, the AI preserves the atmosphere and composition of the original shot and transforms this ordinary moment into a dramatic illustration in the style of one of two popular illustrators, allowing users to choose their preferred style.

On the website, users can register the original photo location and add a comment for their generated illustration on a map of Japan. These locations are displayed and stored as "Georgia Sacred Spots," allowing users to explore and enjoy other users' sacred spot posts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

For this project, we implemented a system that transforms user-submitted content using generative AI, where both input and output are difficult to control due to the unpredictable nature of user uploads. To ensure this complex system could function effectively as a product promotion, we provided technical direction from various perspectives.

In addition to programmatic controls, we developed a comprehensive approach to ensure output quality, combining UX elements such as terms of use, site introductions, and notices, as well as a manual moderation system. These measures help prevent inappropriate images or content that may be unfavorable to the brand.

As this campaign leveraged user-driven content with generative AI for advertising—an approach with few precedents—it led to numerous questions and discussions, and required coordination across various fields from a wide range of stakeholders. We served as a communication hub, facilitating smooth progress throughout the project.
