The official Luxembourg Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, which opened in April 2025, was entitled “Doki Doki – The Heartbeat of Luxembourg.” The pavilion embodied the nation’s vision rooted in sustainability and a circular society through architecture constructed with a steel frame and membrane roof, complemented by digital experiences.

Visitors were able to explore the lives of people in Luxembourg and scenes from everyday life in Luxembourg City through life-sized monitors, spherical installations, and immersive video experiences designed to be viewed while lying down.

Through experiences that echoed the Doki Doki theme and set visitors’ hearts beating, the pavilion conveyed the pulse of Luxembourg to many visitors.

We were responsible for technical direction and quality control in Japan, working closely with the German design studio Jangled Nerves, who led the exhibition and experience design for the pavilion.
 
Our role was to accurately bring their vision of immersion and interactivity to life on site. We oversaw the selection and coordination of local design and equipment partners, managed production progress, and ensured a high level of experiential quality through continuous on-site adjustments, guided by a deep understanding of the intentions behind equipment choices and system design rooted in the principles of a circular economy.
 
The significance of our involvement in this project lies in creating the conditions that enabled the overseas team to fully demonstrate their capabilities in Japan, an unfamiliar environment for them. By bridging gaps in language and business practices and facilitating communication from the perspective of technical directors, we contributed to the creation of work at the highest level of integrity.
 
Using technology as our compass, creating spaces where professionals resonate across borders is one of the key values we aim to deliver even more strongly in future global projects.
