Namco Tachikawa Takashimaya S.C. Store Animation
OVERVIEW
A CG animation for a large advertising vision installed at the Namco Tachikawa Takashimaya S.C. Store, a mixed entertainment facility operated by Bandai Namco Amusement. The vision stands 2.5 meters tall and spans 8 meters wide.
When visitors stand in front of the monitor for 5 seconds, the character "Ghost" from Pac-Man appears on the screen, and videos of crane games and Gashapon (capsule toys), that align with the store's concept "Unending Fun and Excitement!", are played. This image, which appears three-dimensional even to the naked eye, offers a unique visual experience to visitors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We were responsible for both the technical and art direction, as well as the development of interactive content, utilizing the store's permanent large screen.
We proposed a concept that uses optical illusions to create three-dimensional imagery, based on the screen’s eye-level placement. To guide visitors in front of the screen, we used sensors and contemplated the best visual presentation for this, which was a story design that matches the store’s concept and worldview. Both the visual and technical aspects in the design and direction of the system needed to realize it were considered.
Additionally, we integrated a system capable of seamlessly broadcasting promotional videos from the client within the content.
