WORK
Ultraman Space Patrol for Ultra Athletic Osaka
OVERVIEW
Opened in April 2023, "Ultra Athletic Osaka" is a facility where children can play safely and securely while feeling like they've transformed into Ultraman. "Space Patrol" is one of the eight attractions that the facility consists of, where children can drive battery-powered cars shaped like Ultraseven and Ultraman Zero, chasing away monsters and aliens hiding in the meteors surrounding Earth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
We were approached to explore the feasibility of creating an experience where, using projectors and sensors, light beams could be emitted from battery-powered cars designed like Ultraman to repel monsters.
Since this attraction is designed for children aged 3 to 12, we paid careful attention to ensuring their safety while also providing a level of interactivity that would satisfy adults. Additionally, as a permanent attraction, we focused on the daily operational functionality and durability of the installation.
We conducted technical direction and development in collaboration with our clients, Bandai Namco Amusement, and Midgety Engineering, the manufacturer of the battery-powered cars, thoroughly verifying these aspects together.
