Born in 1995 in Guangdong Province, China. Graduated from the Graduate School of Letters, Arts and Sciences, Waseda University. After graduating from a university in China, Zhao worked in music video production and video streaming at a record company. He moved to Japan in 2018 to study human-computer interaction at a graduate school. Zhao joined BASSDRUM as an associate tech director in November 2022.
