Born in Sapporo, Hokkaido. Kousei started his career in mission-critical system development. After working for the IT departments of a business company and a digital production company, he went independent. Currently, he works as a freelance tech director and engineer for interactive exhibitions, space production for permanent installations and events and web content production. Kousei also teaches part-time at Kyoto Seika University, in the Faculty of Design and Faculty of Media Expression. He is a founder of SPEKTRA, a collective for experimentation and expression and currently based in Kyoto.
